چکیده

Abstract In this paper a selected type of elasto-viscoplastic constitutive equations is considered. The viscoplastic model which was proposed by Marquis generalized allowing multiple terms describing the isotropic and kinematic hardening. Furthermore, presented formulation enables one to use an arbitrary equivalent plastic strain function describe hardening behavior. What more, backstress evolution equation modified so that any can be used in recovery term now. general form obtained way subsequently implemented into finite element method (FEM). For purpose, radial-return mapping algorithm utilized. consistent tangent operator derived for considered class models paper. A developed user material subroutine (UMAT) allows under consideration FEM program CalculiX attached appendix section. number numerical simulations were conducted order verify performance UMAT code.

Finite element formulation for modelling large deformations in elasto-viscoplastic polycrystals

Anisotropic, elasto-viscoplastic behaviour in polycrystalline materials is modelled using a new, updated Lagrangian formulation based on a three-field form of the Hu-Washizu variational principle to create a stable finite element method in the context of nearly incompressible behaviour. The meso-scale is characterized by a representative volume element, which contains grains governed by single ...

Elasto-Plastic Constitutive Model for Finite Element Simulation of structural Adhesives

Considered by the automotive industry as a good solution to bond car body parts together, structural adhesives must be integrated in the early design process of vehicles, hence in the finite element analysis. A first difficulty when modeling structural adhesives comes from their complex mechanical pressure-dependent behaviour as well as their load-dependent strength. These aspects make them imp...

An elasto-viscoplastic interface model for investigating the constitutive behavior of nacre

In order to better understand the strengthening mechanism observed in nacre, we have developed an interface computational model to simulate the behavior of the organic present at the interface between aragonite tablets. In the model, the single polymer-chain behavior is characterized by the worm-like-chain (WLC) model, which is in turn incorporated into the eight-chain cell model developed by A...

A Finite Element Study of Elasto-plastic Hemispherical Contact

This work presents a finite element study of elasto-plastic hemispherical contact. The results are normalized such that they are valid for macro contacts (e.g., rolling element bearings) and micro contacts (e.g., asperity contact). The material is modeled as elastic-perfectly plastic. The numerical results are compared to other existing models of spherical contact, including the fully plastic c...
